As we have mentioned in our previous articles, plastic waste is a serious problem that Vietnam is currently facing. An alarming amount of 12.7 tons of plastic is dumped into our ocean every year. If we don’t come up with a solution, this figure will certainly double by 2025.
Since the beginning of 2018, we can see a big shift in the consumer awareness of various Vietnamese environmental groups and communities, both online and offline. More and more people, especially the young Vietnamese generation, start discussing and taking actions to protect this planet Earth.
The “3C & 6R” motto of PJ’s Coffee Vietnam
Following the notion, PJ’s Coffee Vietnam also took part in this great movement with our own campaign – “Sustainable Living for a Sustainable Life”. The campaign has been running for more than two months and has received a lot of positive feedback from our teams and customers.
Through the campaign, we want to achieve the following goals:

- Choose sustainable living
- Change to sustainable habits
- Cultivate a sustainable lifestyle
6R
- Respect for the environment
- Refuse unnecessary plastic (straws, bags, cups, water bottles) & single-use disposables
- Reduce waste
- Reuse – use reusable items
- Recycle – don’t throw away anything that can be recycled
- Restore the environment and “take back the planet”
PJ’s Coffee Vietnam is aiming at tackling all of these targets step by step as we want to achieve the ultimate goal which is “sustainable living”, a movement that requires a long-term commitment. We want to emphasize that this campaign is not a passing trend, and in order to reach the ultimate goal, we all need to change the way we think about “living green” and change our habits.
To change one’s habits is not only time consuming, it also requires lots of effort to learn, to experiment, and to explore the different options that help lessen the negative impact on the natural resources, reduce the amount of plastic waste dumped into our ocean daily, and be less wasteful.
PJ’s Coffee Vietnam says “YES” to eco-friendly, reusable items and says “NO” to single-use plastics. Stand along with us and choose “Sustainable Living for Sustainable Life!”
